For Beginners / Vlogging / Travel

The Sony A5100 is a little older camera, but it still works quite well and takes fantastic images. It is a great little camera for those that are just starting out, or people that are travelling, esp. those that vlog, because of the flip-up screen.

For a slight step up and not much more money, the Sony A6XXX series cameras are a great investment. In addition to most of the same features found on the A5100, it also features a dedicated viewfinder (very useful in bright daylight when there can be glare on the screen).

For Professionals

The Sony a7R Mark III is my day to day camera for stills / portraits. When I need, it also takes great video, esp. if I just need something quick for a behind the scenes shot. I could probably get by with lesser cameras, but the speed + autofocusing + other features like dual card slots helped sell me on this particular model.
